Set Up Sales Items Select Data from the Menu Bar by clicking on Data or by pressing the 'Alt' and 'D' keys simultaneously. Select Item Master from the Data Pull Down Menu by entering 'I' or by clicking on Item Master.
Note the red 'X' in the left hand column indicates that the sales item has been checked to stop printing in the stocktake analysis reports if there have been no transactions made against. You can click the Description Tab to display the sales items alphabetically. Press the 'Ins' key to add a new Sales Item Code or click on the Insert button. Enter or select a valid Sales Group Code and press the Tab key. Enter a unique Sales Item Code and press the Tab key. Enter the Sales Item Description and press the Tab key. Click on the Planning Tab.
Enter the Purchase Unit description and press the Tab key or enter a partial description i.e. 'Bot' and Bottle will be displayed. Alternately click on the scroll button and select from the Units displayed. Enter the Bar Sales Measure(s) a Purchase Unit will yield e.g., 70 Cl bottle of spirits 28 measures dozen bottles of beer 12 measures (range of 0.5 - 999.5) and press the Tab key. Enter the quantity of Opening Stock Units from which your next stocktake will be analysed and/or press the Tab key. Repeat the same step as for units but this time for the Opening Stock Measures and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Barrelage Tolerance for the Item if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Waste Beer Allowance percentage if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Alcohol Percentage Volume if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Minimum Specific Gravity if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Maximum Specific Gravity if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter or select a valid Supplier Code if required and / or press the Tab key. Click on the Cocktail check box to reveal the Cocktail Button. Click the Suppress Printing Check Box stop printing the sales item in the stocktake analysis reports if there have been no transactions made against them. Click on the Pricing Tab
Enter the Tax Rate if applicable for this sales item and press the Tab key. If a rate is displayed that is incorrect i.e. the Default Tax Rate change the value. Enter the unit Purchase Price, exclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. The Last Price Paid is maintained by the software and will be populated in add mode. The Cost / Msr is calculated by the software. This is inclusive of tax and demonstrates the lowest selling price of a sales item. Enter the Bar Sales Price per measure, inclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Yield Price per measure, inclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Off Sales Price/Unit, inclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Staff Sales Price/Unit, inclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Transfer Price/Unit, inclusive of tax, and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Case Deposit (exclusive of tax) if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Bottle Deposit (exclusive of tax) if required and/or press the Tab key. Click on the Scanner Tab if you plan to use scanners for stocktaking purposes.
Enter the Barcode if required and/or press the Tab key. Enter the Dry Weight for the Sales Item and / or press the Tab key. This is for stocktaking by weight. Enter the Wet Weight for the Sales Item and / or press the Tab key. This is for stocktaking by weight. Click on the ECR Tab if you plan to import ECR data for stocktaking purposes.
Enter or select a valid Link Item and press the Tab key. Enter a Link Item Description. Enter the Measures for the Link Item. Enter the Bar Sales Price for the Link Item. Enter or Select the Department Code and/or press the Tab key.
Click on the Department Check Box to attach the Sales Item to a department. Select the Department from the list box. Click on the Ok button or press the enter /Return key to add the record. Repeat the above procedure to add further sales items otherwise click on the Close button to return to the main menu bar on completion press the 'Esc' key to return to the Data Pulldown Menu. Select Reports from the Menu Bar by clicking on Reports or pressing the Alt and 'R' keys simultaneously. Select Item Data List from the Reports Pull Down Menu by entering 'I' or click on the Menu option with the mouse cursor. At the prompt click on the OK button to print the Item Master File Report. Check the Item Master File Report for errors and correct them. Select Reports from the Menu Bar by clicking on Reports or pressing the Alt and 'R' keys simultaneously. Select Stock Sheets from the Reports Pull Down Menu by entering 'S' or click on the Menu option with the mouse cursor.
